How can I make a coloring book page from a regular photograph?

coloring book pages
Pipe Creek asked:

I am wanting to make a coloring book on the computer from a photograph taken on a camera. I downloaded the pictures and a Kodak picture disc. The disc says you can make coloring book pages but can’t figure it out. Does anyone know how?

My canon printer and my old brother fax/printer/scanner had a tab in the print window called advanced or options that let you dot coloring book and it did the outlining for you. Photo shop and other programs that fix pictures have coloring book in their effects tabs, so depending on what you have on your computer, you can move your photo to a program that is easier to work and just click and print.

I don’t use any special software to do colouring images for friends. Just load the picture in Paint (the Windows built-in art package) then set the brush to medium size mode and use to draw over the outlines of the picture keeping all features you want to use for colouring book outline. Then use the erase the remove all colour so you’re left with just the black lines. Then it’s a simple touch up and then you can save it as an image to import into Word and when you have enough of them done, you print the Word document and your colouring book is finished.
