I want to be a coloring book artist, how can I find out about publishing my own, or finding a company hiring?

Sassy asked:

I have an idea/talent that I think would make a great coloring book, and also make it more personal for the consumer. I have not find any thing out there like my talent, so I wanted to be the first to create this kind of coloring book. Whether it be that I have to publish my own books, and sell them on my own, or if there are any coloring book companies looking to hire more, new, or different types of artists.

In the future, all coloring books will be online, and children will be taught to draw in Adobe Illustrator. No messy crayons that you can’t get out of the carpet because they melted in the 100-degree heat. :(

Look in the yellow pages under publishers and send them your ideas. I would like to be a coloring book artist too. I dont care what that”genius” above me says. Coloring books will always be around. The reason they will is because they teach kids hand-eye coordination and computer coloring doesn’t do that the same way coloring with crayons do. They arent that messy because they are wax and not ink.
Sorry I got mad at his answer.

Well, pretty much anyone can be a coloring book artist. There is not much talent going into those kinds of books. If you plan on making them too complicated with all your “talent” no one will buy them for kids.

Maybe you should try to start an adult coloring book with lots of detail thereby actually requiring some talent.
