My boss asked me to help him finish a project for him as a favor. Caught him coloring in a coloring book?

OK, So I came into work today ready to finish a few outstanding issues that have been open since last week. So right as I sit down and fire up my comp my boss comes up to me nervous as hell. He was kinda sweating too. It was crazy. Anyways, he asks if I can help him go over a report and filter out certain costs. He told me he didnt have enough time to finish it the day before and he needs to get it done by tonight. So I agree and get started on it. I was about 3 quarters of the way done and I decide to go to his office to let him know. I usually knock, but this time I figured it was urgent so I just went in real quick. As I went in he scattered and I saw a few crayons roll off his desk. I looked closer and saw a Disney coloring book under his office phone. Should I confront him about this? I mean, I dont think its fair that I should do his work while he colors!

some ppl using coloring as a stress relief but the thing is it wasn’t the time or place since he was on a deadline. and lets face it if your boss can’t handle the pressure he shouldn’t be boss.

And yes, you should probably talk to him if you are bugged by it… I mean you don’t want it hanging over your head forever. If you feel you should talk to him, then definitely do it in private where he won’t feel threatened. You’ll probably get a better response that way!

Ahh the perk of being “boss”. They usually can delegate to you whatever they want. Their job is to get the jobs done, by them or by someone under them.

Oh boy! That’s a toughie. Did he notice that you saw him coloring in the book? Personally, I don’t think you should approach him even though it’s wrong that you’re busting your @$$ with work that he should be taking care of instead of wasting his time coloring.
Next time, when he asks you to do something, make something up like you have something else on your plate. He’ll have to finish his leftovers himself.

i dont know thats really funny though. you shouldnt have to do his work but i would let this one go this time, being that it is so weird. maybe he needed a time out hahahaha. i would bring it up if it happens again
