Coloring Book Pages

He has absolutely no desire to learn his letters and numbers. I’ve gotten him all the books with Elmo and Cookie Monster and cars, trucks and buses. Coloring books, dry erase books, reward stickers. And all I ever ask him to do is ONE page. He won’t. I’ve tried to make it fun with singing and doing all the funny voices he likes and I can’t get him to want to do this. I am a stay at home mom so daycare is not the answer although he does very well in a school environment. He needs to know these things so he can go to school. So how do I get him to want to do his letters and numbers? I’ve even gone as far as telling him that if he doesn’t work on one letter…ONE LETTER then he’s not going outside until he does. I just don’t know what to do!! My oldest was so eager and he’s now a straight A student going into 6th grade. The little one starts whining and says he can’t it’s hard. I don’t understand! Help!
Just sHe will be starting pre-k in the fall…he has a v-smile with a few learning games like Bob the builder and Elmo….but loses interest even in that after a few minutes….sometimes in as little as 3 minutes…but yet he loves to play video games

talk to people u can customize your profile how ever u want it to be

and if u want it to be like face books then dont do anything to it

so why to people think myspace is lame?

I am definitely searching for a needle in the haystack. This is a photography book that was mentioned to me by a friend and she has forgotten the title and the author of the book. The photos are from a region in the Southern area of United States and were taken and published around the 1980’s. The photos are in color. The photographer apparently went to the region because his wife is from there and fell in love with the local surroundings. One distinct photo (or photos) was of these two boys, placed on opposite pages, holding the same posture as if they are mirror images of each other. They are both wearing overalls and both are holding a fish. One striking feature is that one boy is black and the other boy is white. Another photo from the book is of a carnival and the wall of a local building has been painted with vibrant colors.
I don’t know if these are enough clues to locate the book but any effort for the cause will be greatly appreciate.

I remember reading one once that had a red and gold cover, and had beautiful illustrations. the pages printed with decorations of gold leaf. I’m looking for this particular copy, if anyone can help.
This verson isn’t for little kids, it was in a high school library. I would go check it out, but i cannot get to that library anymore because i moved.
